The story of FIM began in early 2010 when Jung Kim’s heart was marked by God with John 1:23 and John 21 and he was called to cultivate the way and to shepherd His flock. After transitioning out of the corporate job, Jung prayed in a small office by himself for nine months before he co-directed a prayer ministry in California, began leading numerous overseas mission trips, served multiple local and national ministries and churches and mobilized for large-scale national events. More than a decade later, Jung’s vision remains the same – To be a man and a shepherd after His own heart and to cultivate transformational worship and prayer in every believer.

Over time, the Lord enlarged the territory in the nations by helping to plant houses of prayer and underground churches and ignite worship and prayer in the nations. Although the assignments and geographical location of work have shifted from time-to-time; Jung’s faithfulness and adoration for the greatness and the worth of Jesus has not, and his mission remains – To engage in the Great Commission by fostering a culture of worship and prayer that provokes individuals, unites believers, and impacts the nations in every sphere of life. And the story continues!

Jung Kim did not set out to launch a ministry organization or look for a platform, but rather to serve by shepherding His flock and planting His house of prayer to prepare the way of the Lord.

Without prayer, our walk with Him is anemic. Prayer is the reality of abiding in the Vine. Prayer makes us confident in His lordship, kingship, and friendship. Prayer is not about convincing God, but in and through it He convinces and reminds us of who He is.
